Tracked down the fellow who had it in for the tax collector. A bit of a loon, and he didn't account for my reaction when he tried to take a swing at me.

The mook's place was empty. Figured I could catch a bit of shut-eye there, after staying up through the dead of night, in the rain, in the swamp. I'll never get my boots sufficiently clean.
Namiria's Left Toe! Some bloody bugger tried to spit me in my sleep. They say Matius in Ebonhart can tell me more about the group the assassin belongs to. While I want to discharge my debt, my own survival takes precedence. I'm taking the silt stider to Vivec.
Clearly, I have the difficulty slider set on Very Easy for the moment.

Morrowind: A Beginning
A bit of Morrowind fanfic. My game story, in narrative mode. I'll be glossing over large bits of gameplay, I expect. Nor will I hide spoilers it's a seven-year old game, and even if this is my first play-through, this is not the place for spoiler averse.
And here I am at the back end of nowhere, a stinking swamp town they call Seyda Neen. They cross-examined me as they shoved me off the ship into the swamp, called me a barbarian, and gave me a package to deliver to Balmora, for the greater glory of the Emperor. That annoyed me, so I lifted some silver-plate table settings on my way out of the census office. Not my usual way, but hungry and peeved in the swamp... well, call it a bit of the battle-rage.
What they gave me wasn't enough to outfit me properly, anyhow.
Met a craven on the way out of the office, and was feeling bad enough about the silver by then to give him the ring I'd also acquired. He muttered something about green-stink and a missing taxman, and pointed me to what passes for a store.
It's nice to have an axe in-hand again. I picked up a bit of armor, too. My condition's gone to crap between the prison and the time on the boat. I had a bit of a decision to make, but decided to stick with a chain hauberk, coif, and a cheap shield. Instead of springing for greaves and such, I allowed the shopkeeper to impress upon me the means to manipulate the energies to heal myself. I'm not much for spell casting, but a bit of healing after battle ain't wrong. And I don't frown on conjured allies either, when you can't find a person to fight by your side. I'll need a bit more coin before I can do that.

Waded through the swamp to check the new axe. Killed a few mudcrabs, then stumbled on the body of the tax collector, complete with collected moneys so far. I'd eaten by then, and calmed down a bit with my axe in hand, so instead of pocketing the cash, I returned it to the blokes in the census office. I'll ask around and see if I can figure who killed the tax man, and pick up the reward money. Then hop the silt strider to Balmora and dump this package, free myself of any reason for the Emperor to pay attention to me. Not thinking much beyond that. I'll see what opportunities show up.
State of the Doll
Bored with WoW, and am on a leave of absence for a bit. Not sure if it's just I'd been playing for two years, or if the guild I ended up in was a bad fit for me, or what. Nothing against the guild, just a raiding guild didn't really fit the play time I had available. I could have done some searching for a better fit, but I wasn't being excited by the game, either.
So, I've moved on to other challenges. I'm currently playing:
Morrowind
Half-Life 2
Free Realms (aka "The Fairy Game", according to the small people around here.)
iPhone games
Sally's Spa
Drop 7
Facebook games
Street Racing
Mafia Wars
Pirates
Vampire Wars
As far as Facebook is concerned, I seem to be addicted to filling in little status bars.
